Remembering my Grandfather
When you are12- old is 50. My Grandfather was much older than that! He seemed to be from another planet. His world was not my world his world had died years before I was born. I suspect the loss of that world weighed heavily upon him, but not being able to speak much English and his deafness coupled by a depression that covered him like a gray wet blanket made his reality a gray place that I suspect he hated without fully understanding.He always offered me a banana.
